Rally Car Driving
Rally car driving has always been among most young men’s sweetest dreams and, unfortunately, not many of them have had the chance to at least sit in a rally car some decades ago. As with so many other things these days, the situation looks a lot better. Anyone who desires to feel the speed in this way is free to try it.
Since rally car driving has so many fans, of whom many would do anything in the world to be offered the opportunity of driving such a car, smart entrepreneurs all over the world have come up with the solution: whoever is tempted to grab the wheel of a rally car and drive it at the speed of light can do so at specially created locations where non-professional rally car drivers may learn to master the skills of rally driving stars.
Rally Car Driving in the UK
In the United Kingdom, for instance, there are at least ten famous places like this where speed lovers can feel a lot of excitement practising this popular sport for a few hours. Most of them are open at the weekend but there are some that allow you during the week as well. Bristol, Cirencester, Gainsborough, Silverstone, Evesham, Knockhill and Portadown are only a few locations in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland that welcome you to a most exciting experience at the wheel.
Though many teenagers would gladly venture into it, rally car driving in these locations comes with a couple of restrictions. You must be over 18 or over 17 (if your parents sign a consent) to be allowed to get involved in this kind of adventure. Also, your height must be between 4’10” and 6’4” and the maximum acceptable weight is 18 stone. There’s no need to mention that the health state is another issue that may or may not give you the green light towards this kind of experience. If you qualify according to the above-mentioned conditions, you will only have to prove minimum 1 year experience at the wheel and show a valid driving licence. It sounds fair enough, I’m sure.
So, if you feel like being a rally car driver for a few hours, what you have to do is apply for initial training and pay a fee. As soon as you have done that, a qualified instructor will take care of you. You will be taught all you have to know about rally car driving. Group training may be given first and later each of you will have the chance to show what you have learnt by driving a real rally car (with an instructor next to you).
If you are a brave young man, you will encounter no difficulty while driving. This is a good test of skills and self-control in extremely trying circumstances.
